Full stack developer who wants to have an impact on society

At Bpart, we develop web applications to make participation accessible. Our applications empower organisations to inform people about, and engage them with policy making. Governments, commercial and non-commercial organisations use our applications for socially relevant projects.

We believe that the quality and support base of policies become stronger when people are informed and engaged. Digital applications can be of great added value to achieve this. Do you believe this as well? Then you might be our next new colleague!

In short

  • you are a full stack developer with a lot of drive
  • you are eager to explore new technologies and stay up to date
  • you want to work on web applications in a social context
  • you have a basic knowledge of or are willing to learn Ruby on Rails and React
  • you feel like strengthening a team in which you learn from experienced developers but quickly have your own responsibility
  • you want to work in a lively social start-up environment with locations near Leuven and Antwerp-Berchem station

Already convinced? Send an email to Erwin (erwin@bpart.be) and let us know why you are a good asset to our team! Not convinced yet or would you like to know more? Then read on below!

How do you know us?

Thanks to our Bpart participation platform, our clients involved over 400,000 Flemish people in projects related to palliative care (The Palliative Debate), science (Question for Science), climate (Natuurpunt) and local policy (such as the citizens' budget in Antwerp). Bpart also supports projects on education (Van LeRensbelang), youth and media ("Burgerkabinetten") and mobility (e.g. in Brussels).

Our budget projects (“Je gemeente telt” in Flanders or budget.brussels) will help you find out what your taxes are being used for.

How can you do your bit?

You participate in the development of the Bpart participation platform. This platform, which we offer as Software as a Service, allows organisations and authorities to involve people with policy making.

We are looking for someone who wants to join us full-time or 80% part-time. You will strengthen our development team to make our web applications more performant, to improve the user experience and to expand the possibilities.
